Wideye Potion (also known as the Awakening Potion) is a potion that prevents the drinker from falling asleep and can also be used to awaken someone from drugging or concussion. It acts as an antidote for some mild sleep inducing potions, such as the Sleeping Draught and can pre-nullify the effects of the Drowsiness Draught.

Ingredients

  • Six snake fangs
  • Four measures of Standard Ingredient
  • Six dried Billywig stings
  • Two sprigs of Wolfsbane

Brewing Instructions

Part 1

  1. Add 6 Snake fangs to the mortar
  2. Add 4 measures of Standard Ingredient to the mortar
  3. Add 6 Dried Billywig Stings to your cauldron
  4. Heat on a medium temperature for 30 seconds
  5. Finely crush the ingredients in the mortar
  6. Add 4 measures of the crushed ingredients to your cauldron
  7. Stir 3 times, clockwise
  8. Wave your wand
  9. Leave to brew and return in 23 hours with a pewter cauldron, 14 hours with a Brass cauldron, and 8 hours with a copper cauldron.

Part 2

  1. Add 2 sprigs of Wolfsbane to your cauldron
  2. Stir 3 times, anti-clockwise
  3. Wave your wand to complete the potion

Dangers

There no known dangers associated with attempting to brew this potion. However, careful handling of billywig stings is recommend. Accidental pricks from died billywing stings can give a feeling of uneasiness and typically induce feelings of dizziness.

There is NOTHING in this potion that will cause it to explode, create a toxic fume, or create a foul order, or any other dangers that are NOT listed on this page.

Effects

This potion can be used to prevent the drinker from falling asleep for a period of time. It can be used as an antidote to the sleeping draught, as well as preventing the effects of a drowsiness draught. Further, in the event that a witch or wizard is knocked out, via normal means, this potion acts as a remedy to wake them up.

OOC Information

This potion requires a Potions Skill Level of 3 in order to be a chance at a successful brew. If your Potions Skill is not at least 3, then it has a high chance of being a failed attempt or producing a dud.
